Messing Around With Punches

Every morning I wake up thinking about paper crafts — there’s always something I want to make. I bought several punches from Stampin’ Up! and realized there are always more to purchase. Instead of punches, in some cases, I bought die sets — now I’m wondering if the punches would have been better. It’s all about getting the most value from your purchases. It does come down to what you really need and what makes your paper crafting sessions run smoothly. I’m all about using something else that does the job of maybe an expensive tool. Maybe keeping it...

Getting Serious

As you know, I’m new to Stampin’ Up! I got my starter kit and placed an order for additional products. And, then I placed another order. It does sound ridiculous, but I didn’t have any Stampin’ Up! products and if I was going to get serious about my new business venture I needed those stamps, acrylic blocks set, ink pads, colored cardstock, designer paper, a trimmer, thinlits dies that accompany the various stamp sets, colored pencils, blending pens, adhesive and punches. I already had a Big Shot die cutting machine and a scoring board. Yes, I had cardstock and designer paper from other sources as well as ink pads . . . but with Stampin’ Up! it’s important to use their products since I’m an independent demonstrator for them. Yes, I can use my old stamps and inks for my personal projects that I’ll place on my other websites. This is all good. I belong to a private facebook group which is exclusive to my upline. They post their cards and other projects. They use various techniques with a number of Stampin’ Up! products. I’m itching to get started . . . thus the reason for the various orders. I have my own style and preference as do the other members. I do feel like the new kid in school. They have been very kind in answering my questions...

What I Like About Stampin’ Up!

Although Stampin’ Up! is a Multi-Level Marketing Business its emphasis is on the products they provide in their catalogs. The company allows you to buy products for your own use or to move up in the rankings by getting more customers and encouraging others to join. For me, I joined because I liked the discount and being able to get a sneak peak at the catalog before Stampin’ Up! goes live with it. I am new to this and I’m basically an affiliate marketer. That means that I like receiving a fee for the number of products I sell....

Hand Made Greeting Cards

There is truly something valuable in making your own greeting cards. Even with the internet and maybe because of it, getting a hand made greeting card means much more than the emails and text messages and telephone calls we receive regularly. A simple card with a “Thinking of you” greeting can raise the spirits of so many in our lives. Yes, you may speak with them regularly, but having a card that you took the time to make and send is truly priceless. Stampin’ Up! does an outstanding job of providing rubber stamps, ink, paper, dies, etc. that makes...

3D Star Box Template

I wanted to do something different. Perhaps there is nothing new. Once you think you have an original idea, you later discover that someone else already did it. But, wouldn’t it be great to discover an easier way of doing it? Did you ever make those “lucky stars” when you were a kid? The first one was always the most difficult, but once you got going, you’d be searching for paper to make more. I honestly don’t remember the purpose of them other than doing them. Maybe someone mentioned something about making hundreds of them for good luck —...
